GRAVE ROBBER
The costume of death made out of flowers collected from the trash cans in the cemeteries. The ambivalence contained in colorful cemetery flowers and old, decaying tombstones with a stone cross evoke fear. Will we be left with a trivial stone after death, which over the years will be destroyed and erased from human memories? Will we be lucky enough to have someone who will be changing the artificial flowers once a year?
THE TREES SAY
Makeup carried out as a part of the exhibition presenting the history of Poznań Szelągowski Park from the perspective of plants and trees. The anthropologist, Katarzyna Wala, listening to the stories of the inhabitants of the Szeląg district, discovered that the world of plants functions deeply in our memories.
The project was carried out in cooperation with the “Mobilny Dom Kultury Wilczak” Association.
INTANGIBLE PSYCHE
Bodypainting for a performance by Olga Grześko depicting the body as a shield that protects against oppression of society. People often stigmatize us with hatred. Such behavior can have an irreversible impact on the psyche that is very fragile. The performer wanted to show that all the impurities that society tries to stick to her, remain on the skin – but her interior remains clean. Finally the addressee’s intentions become poison to him.
During the performance, the bodypainting was washed off by the actress.
